Who Are Seventh-day Adventists?
The Seventh-day Adventist Church is a worldwide Protestant Christian denomination with more than 19 million members around the globe, including over one million members in North America. United by our faith in Jesus Christ and the authority of the Bible, we seek to enhance the quality of life for people everywhere while sharing the hope of Christ’s soon return.
At the heart of our faith is the belief in one God—Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. We believe that Jesus Christ, the Son of God, came to earth, lived a perfect and sinless life, died on the cross for our sins, and rose from the dead, making salvation available to everyone who accepts Him by faith.
After His resurrection and ascension to heaven, Jesus sent the Holy Spirit to be our Comforter, Counselor, and Guide. We eagerly look forward to His promised second coming, when He will complete His plan of salvation and establish His eternal kingdom. This hope shapes everything we believe and do.
As Seventh-day Adventists, we also believe that God cares about every aspect of life. Our faith influences how we live, care for our health, strengthen our families, serve our communities, steward our resources, and care for God’s creation. We seek to honor Him not only through worship but through lives of compassion, integrity, and service.
Our Mission in Lima
As a local congregation of the worldwide Seventh-day Adventist Church, the Lima Seventh-day Adventist Church exists to share the love of Jesus and the hope found in His Word.
We are committed to creating a welcoming church family where everyone is valued, respected, and encouraged—whether you are exploring Christianity for the first time or have walked with Christ for many years. Through biblical teaching, heartfelt worship, meaningful friendships, prayer, and community service, we strive to help people know Jesus personally and grow in their faith.
Our desire is to reflect Christ’s love in practical ways by serving our neighbors, supporting one another, and pointing people to the hope found in the gospel. We believe that lives are transformed when people encounter Jesus, and we invite you to experience that transformation with us.
